What is a 49er for Feminism?

49ers for Feminism is the Women’s and Gender Studies annual giving program.  A 49er for Feminism is anyone (faculty, staff, student, alumni, or community member) who supports the Women’s and Gender Studies Program with a tax deductible gift.

Why should I give?

The Women’s and Gender Studies Program relies on your support to sustain and enhance the valuable services and unique opportunities that extend beyond that the classroom that we provide on campus and in the community. Whenever you give, whatever the size, your gift makes a difference.

What will my gift be used for?

Your gift will help the Women’s and Gender Studies Program educate campus and community about gender issues.  Your support allows us to continue to bring high caliber speakers like Naomi Wolf, bell hooks, Keith Boykin, and Gloria Steinem to campus.  It will also support educational workshops for students, faculty/staff, and community members.  Finally, your gift supports students by helping them to travel to conferences and workshops at other campuses.

How can I give?

The Women’s and Gender Studies Program is growing and needs your help. Your gift will help us educate the campus and community about women’s and gender issues.  All contributions are tax deductible.  Pay by check by printing, completing, and mailing this form along with a check.  Make checks payable to the UNC Charlotte Foundation.
